This is to make sure your failed drive will go directly to data recovery laboratory. PC Shop Computers is not a data recovery, but our partner who facilitate walk-in location for our lab.
If you fail to provide the service ticket at PC Shop Computers, your drive may go to the wrong technician! Instead of Data recovery specialist it might land at repair shop by mistake, where the data medium undergoes an excessive test runs in attempts to revive the drive. That will definitely cause an extra damage to data and to the drive that is already has suffered from the internal damages and may render your data to unrecoverable condition.
Make sure that PC Shop Computers only receives the drive to forward to data lab without any testing on the spot.
If you don't have printed ticket, have a hand-written note with your contact info, and call us from PC Shop Computers to advise of your failed device being dropped off there.
