Personal Cloud Storage has two bays for two 3-5-inch hard drives. It works as a small Network attached server with 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM memory, and supports Gigabit Ethernet cable-connection. To prevent the significant or total data loss, never reset device to factory default in case of any problem.

Parts and Repair Service

This NAS model is a legacy and not worth to spend money trying to repair it; instead we run data recovery directly from the hard drives outside of the unit. We will use parts matched to each HDD that require hardware recovery. All brands and models are supported in Data Lab 247. If NAS contains the data files that are no longer needed - then to wipe all files off simply reset the box to factory default.

How to reset to factory default

With the device powered on,
• insert a paper clip or narrow-tipped pen into the reset button slot on the back of the box
• press and hold down the reset button for four seconds
• the device will reboot (this may take up to three minutes)

After Reset

Resetting the drive will allow you to reset the passwords of the unit:

 - username will be admin 
 - and no password needed

So, the login info after reset:

 User default   : "admin" 
 Admin Password : "" (Blank - No password by default)
 Device Name    : "WDMyCloud" (default value)
